LFH is a privately owned investment group, which was founded in 1995 by a Dutch family, guided by a set of core values, caring about people, our environment and our planet.

LFH aims to provide capital, expertise, advice and support as a long-term partner, with horizon, expertise and flexibility few other investors can match. LFH invests worldwide in private and public equity, real estate and other opportunities and projects, all targeting a lasting positive effect on the future of the earth and the people who live on it.

The team

Marielle Stijger
Chief Executive Officer

Marielle Stijger joined LFH as Chief executive Officer in January 2022. Previously Marielle was the Head of Office for 10 years of the main operating entity serving the non-regulated Luxembourg based companies exclusively owned by divisions of, or investment funds managed by Goldman Sachs. Before coming to Luxembourg, Marielle worked as Head of Legal for Goldman Sachs’ division in the Netherlands, following more than 12 years of working in the trust business. Stijger holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Maastricht.

Laurence Ouverleaux
Group Legal Counsel

Laurence Ouverleaux joined LFH as Group Head of Legal in January 2022. Laurence started her legal career in Brussels at PWC and subsequently became an associate with White & Case LLP, Brussels before she moved to join Linklaters LLP in Luxembourg in 2014, where she was a managing associate. Laurence received a Master of Laws degree from the University of Leuven, Belgium, and a Masters in Corporate Law from the University of Brussels, Belgium, and has been admitted to both Brussels and Luxembourg Bar.

Alessandro Sperti
Senior Investment Manager

Alessandro Sperti joined LFH as Senior Investment Manager in December 2021. Previously, he had been working for Intesa Sanpaolo Luxembourg as Senior Portfolio Manager for six years. Alessandro moved to Luxembourg in 2015, having worked in London, Lugano and Milan before. He has 20+ years of experience in financial markets with a strong focus on equity investments. Alessandro graduated in Economics at the University of Turin.

Robert Shyirambere
Finance Controller

Robert Shyirambere has more than 23 years of experience in banking and trust industry in Luxembourg. He started his career in the banking sector at JPMorgan Luxembourg as Securities Back Officer for more than 4 years and then moved to the trust industry. Before joining Luxembourg Finance House in February 2015, Robert was Senior Accounts Manager at JTC Luxembourg, leading the accounting and reporting department for companies investing mainly in Real Estate and Private Equity. Previously, he accumulated his expertise in accounting, tax, VAT and legal compliance at TMF Group Luxembourg. Robert graduated from HEC Liège (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales).

Hugues Delcourt
 

Hugues Delcourt is a senior advisor and an operating partner to four European families as well as to Advent International. In 2020- 2022, he oversaw the turnaround of Kneip Communication and its successful sale to Deutsche Börse Group. He was chairman of the Management Board and Group CEO of Banque Internationale à Luxembourg in 2014-2019. Hugues Delcourt garnered his 30-year banking experience (of which 17 in Asia) in senior leadership positions with ABN AMRO, UBS and Crédit Agricole Indosuez. He was CEO of ABN AMRO Private Banking in Asia & Middle East as well as Country Manager for Singapore. Hugues holds an MBA with distinction from INSEAD and is also a graduate of HEC Paris (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales).

Sipko Schat
 

Sipko Schat has been a board member in the Group since 2018. Previously, he was a member of the Executive Board of Rabobank Nederland and currently holds several other supervisory board and advisory committee positions. Sipko Schat received a Master of Laws degree from the University of Groningen.

Massimo Iacono
 

Massimo Iacono joined the Group as Chief Investment Officer in March 2020 and is now senior advisor and board member. In the previous 10 years, Massimo was Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director for one of most prominent European family offices, based first in Montecarlo and then in Luxembourg. His professional career started in 2000 and developed in the following years as money manager for a few Italian private banks, with responsibility over private clients’ portfolios as well as institutional mandates (including mutual funds). Massimo received a degree in Economics at Bocconi University in Milan, and he has been a CFA Charterholder since 2011.
